  1. Kia ora Xavier,

My name is Olive and I’m one of the new blog commentators in the Kaikohekohe cluster this summer! I’m working the Teaser Week and I’m super excited to see all your blog activities!

Congratulations on completing your first blog post!
I laughed at your blog post so much! What a unique way to describe Shelly-Ann! Do you really think she is as slow as a slug? I think she must be faster than that as she currently does hold the record for the fastest woman in the world! Wow that’s pretty amazing! Even though some of your similes aren’t very accurate, I appreciate the thought you put into making your work different to other students!

What’s your favourite sport to do in school? I love team sports like soccer, volleyball and basketball! I remember when I was in Year Eight I did a relay race in Hong Kong and my school came third! It was one one of the most exciting moments of my school life! Do you have sports moments you could tell me about where you were so excited you could burst?!

Thank you for your great blog post and have fun completing the rest of the activities.

Feel free to check out my blog and get to know me a little better!

  2. Kia ora Xavier,

Merry Christmas! I hope you are having a great holiday so far :)

My name is Tayla and I am the Cluster Manager for the Summer Learning Journey in Kaikohekohe. I just wanted to pop in and say that it’s not too late to start the programme! You can find the activities here: https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/weekly-activities

You can do any of the activities, so take a look at some of the options. I’m sure there will be something that you’ll find interesting to learn about.

I hope I get to read some of your work!

    Ngā mihi,
    Tayla
